WYFC is a youth football organization established to promote the wholesome development of youth
through their association with adult leaders in the sport of American football.

Rules and regulations are established to ensure that players play in an atmosphere of safety
with a competitive balance between teams.

WYFC GOALS
To provide a wholesome competitiveness within the scope of our rules and regulations
that will protect the youth athlete and cheerleader.

To teach the fundamentals of football and coordinate cheerleader activities.

To provide a responsible football and cheerleader program where none is provided by the public schools.

To influence good sportsmanship, teamwork, highest moral and physical standards
and the importance of scholarship and academic achievement.

Helmet Information

Dear Parents,

Hopefully, all who attended Walpole Day got a chance to see the helmet display at the Youth Football table. In past years, Walpole Youth Football worked with a helmet distributor to provide those parents that wished to purchase a new helmet for their young player. This year we are providing the same opportunity. Walpole Youth Football provides a clean, reconditioned, NOCSAE-inspected and approved helmet to all players as part of the annual fee, so this program is entirely optional.

This program was started only to streamline and accommodate those parents who inquired about purchasing new helmets. Rather than scrambling to local sporting goods shops, we found it easier to make a bulk order, and we get a better deal from the distributor. Like in years past, we are offering the Schutt Youth DNA Pro+ ($160). Also, we are offering a brand new helmet, SchuttYouthVengeance ($190).

Also because some have asked, we can order Riddell Helmets as well: Youth 360: ($245) and Youth Speed ($205)

We have found that boys on the A,B, C, and D levels probably see more benefits from these helmets than the younger kids, only because they are slightly larger and heavier than the other helmets in stock. These helmets, with care, should last 4 seasons. They need to be reconditioned every other season.

Also, for those that have asked, NO, these helmets cannot be used at the high school level. High School and beyond have thicker plastic in their helmets, and need to be approved as such.

Rest assured, this program is only an accommodation to make it easier for those parents that wish to purchase a new helmet for their kids, but the helmets issued by the league are high quality, safe, and inspected, in fact, many are these very same helmets.
